SCHOLARSHIPS SCHOLARHIPS

2025 Scholarship Recipients

Keith Elliott Member, Governance Committee ARTA

Even in retirement, ARTA members continue to support education for the next generation.

Sponsored by ARTA and Orbit Insurance Services, multiple scholarships are awarded each year to students who have completed one, two, or three years of their post-secondary education. Also provided by ARTA is the ARTA 101 Continuing Education Scholarship: one scholarship for an active teacher who is upgrading their credentials and another for a student who is the immediate relative of an ARTA 101 member and meets the same criteria as our other recipients.
We received a total of 106 applications this year. On behalf of the Governance Committee, I would like to thank everyone who applied for a scholarship and congratulate the recipients who have been selected for an award.
Here is what our scholarship recipients had to say in response to the following questions: What impact have teachers had in your life? What is your biggest achievement? Where do you see yourself in the next ten years? If you could be a superhero, what superhero would you be?

Jodie Dell One of my greatest achievements has been completing my Master’ s in Educational Leadership through the University of Alberta before the age of 40 while working full-time, raising five children, and making a big move down south. Looking back, I’ m reminded that growth comes not only through perseverance, but also through finding joy in giving to others along the way.
Mia Leedell I am grateful to the teachers who put a meaningful and thankless effort toward creating opportunities for growth, who have made me into the person and lifelong learner I am today. I was also fortunate to have been raised by a teacher, which has had an immeasurable impact on my life!
