A Quick Word of Thanks

Thanks to far-thinkers , we have ARTA . The seeds planted fifty years ago have blossomed into a wonderful health plan , an affinity program that is about to burgeon , opportunities to meet and renew friendships , and , of course , News & Views , begun as a newsletter by Ron Rhine in 1992 .
This pullout section in this special edition has been prepared from material provided by the 50 th Anniversary Ad Hoc Committee chaired by Dean McMullen . The committee members are Lily McCool , Chuck Rose , and Paul Boisvert . Daniel Mulloy and Gordon Cumming are also members , and Don Mock was instrumental in gathering material . Without their hard work , there would be no special edition of News & Views .
Janet McLennan deserves special recognition , for it was she who collected the committee ’ s material , brought 2000-word items down to what is manageable , and made sure that articles were submitted on time .
So , we owe gratitude to those who began ARTA fifty years ago , appreciation for those who maintain its excellence today , and thanks to the 50 th anniversary committee members who have provided the material for this anniversary pullout .
