ARTA ’ s mission is to support an engaged lifestyle after retirement through member-centred services , advocacy , communication , wellness , and leadership .
Our focus in this mission is always our wonderful members , but over the past several months , ARTA has also extended our support to the larger community through a variety of initiatives .
ARTA staff have been donating blood with Canadian Blood Services for the past year . Seven ARTA staff members participated in June 2024 .

While Edmonton Meals on Wheels , a downtown non-profit , provides services to anyone facing a barrier to preparing nutritious meals , it serves a large population of local seniors . It offers a wide variety of customizations for special dietary needs — including gluten-free , halal , special diets for diabetes or kidney disease , or those who need their meals diced or pureed . On June 25 and 26 , fifteen ARTA staff members worked three different shifts , helping to prepare the over three hundred meals for their daily distribution .
