We would like to carry articles and features from our Public / Government Sector and from our CUPE Sector members . If you can provide an ongoing feature , or even have a single article you would like to see in print , please contact Robin Carson , Editor , at nveditor @ shaw . ca

We hope that this can be a modest beginning to a section of news & views that will feature material of interest to our non-Education Sector members .

The Communications / Technology Committee is looking for a person to act as a librarian and archivist for ARTA . It is a volunteer position .

In general , duties would include establishing and maintaining a library of materials for and by ARTA members , as well as establishing a library of materials of historical interest and significance in ARTA ’ s history . Since this is a new position , specific duties are entirely negotiable .

Familiarity with Microsoft Office particularly MS Word and MS Excel would be an asset , but a willingness to learn those applications would be sufficient .

Please note the following changes in the contact information for Connelly-McKinley and the terms of their offer to ARTA members as previously indicated on Page 7 of the Affinity Program booklet .

Instead of a 10 % discount on pre-arranged funeral services , they are now offering a ‘ preferred ’ rate on pre-arranged funeral services only . Their services are only available in the Edmonton area , not in ‘ across Canada ’ as stated in the booklet .
