Are you moving ? Have you moved ? Does ARTA have your correct contact information ? Please call us at 1-855-212-2400 or 780‐822‐2400 to update your mailing address , telephone number and email address . Thank you for helping us keep our database current . When you change your address with ARTA , you should also update your information with our benefit plan administrator ( ASEBP ) at 1‐855‐444-2782 if you are also an ARTA Retiree Benefits Plan policyholder .

Has your membership expired ? If your membership expired on June 30 , 2014 , and you have not yet renewed , please call us at 1-855‐212‐2400 or 780-822-2400 to renew your membership over the phone using either Visa or MasterCard . An up-to-date ARTA membership is a requirement if you wish to access the ARTA Retiree Benefits Plan . NOTE : Only Education Sector members pay their membership fees directly to ARTA . Public Sector members have their membership fees deducted monthly along with their benefits premiums and do not need to renew as it is done automatically .

If you have received a new ARTA membership card , you may have noticed that something is missing . The dollar amount paid to renew your membership has been removed because we have been advised by our lawyers , based on CRA regulations , that membership fees are NOT a tax deduction and should not be used as a deduction on your income tax . Also , some of our members have mistaken this section of the card for an invoice and sent us further payment . We are hoping this notice will help save stamps for everyone !

And as you read this , you realize that another summer has slipped by and autumn is fast approaching . Don ’ t despair since the next spring and summer are just around the corner . Take care .
