And my last example must be a book that was read to me during Grade 6 . The Complete Book of Marvels by Richard Halliburton was published in 1937 with many new editions following . I realize that my love of travel began with the readings from this book . I found and purchased a hardbound copy when I was at university , and although it was a definite extra expense at the time , I had never forgotten those sessions after lunch with the teacher reading to us about Chichén Itzá , Pompeii , the Taj Mahal , and other exotic sites . The book is long out of print , so I treasure my copy .
