2017 Photo Contest Rules
ARTA is proud to sponsor its Fifth Annual Photo Contest . All ARTA members , regular or affiliate , and their families are eligible to enter .
Winners will be announced in the autumn 2017 edition of news & views and posted on ARTA electronic media sites .
CONTEST RULES
1 . Each photo may be entered into one of the following categories :
• Joy
• Hope
• Love
• Black and White
( any subject )
2 . All entries must have an image that is no smaller than 5 " x 7 " and no larger than 8 " x 10 ". Square images will be accepted provided that they are no smaller than 7 " x 7 " and no larger than 12 " x 12 ".
3 . Entries must be mounted on rigid backing that is no thinner than file folder stock .
4 . Matted or framed photos will not be accepted .
5 . Participants are limited to one photograph per category .
6 . Each entry must be the work of the participant .
7 . Entries must not have been judged in any other photography competition .
8 . Only entries with a copy of the official entry form attached to the back of the photo will be accepted . Since the entry form is detached from the photo during the judging process , attach the form using only a bit of tape . DO NOT GLUE the form to the back of the photo .
9 . Entries will not be returned automatically . If you require the return of your entries , please send a self-addressed envelope of the appropriate
size or email marketing @ arta . net to arrange to pick up entries from the ARTA office .
10 . ARTA retains the right to use the entries for promotional purposes during and after the competition .
11 . Prizes for a Best of Category and Second Place will be awarded . Up to two Honourable Mentions per category may be awarded at the discretion of the judges .
12 . All prizes must be accepted as awarded .

All entries must be mailed or hand-delivered to ARTA no later than 4:00 p . m ., May 31 , 2017 .
