the airport hotel . We immediately boarded a tour bus into Dublin to our last stop — the Guinness Brewery . Although we did not stop en route , we enjoyed a view of central Dublin with many of its famous landmarks . The centre of the city is very attractive , modern , with a rapid transit line . It reminded me of so many similar smaller European cities .

With time to spare we had lunch there , took a quick look at how Guinness brews its worldfamous black stout , and then joined our group in the Guinness bar for a beer version of a wine-tasting experience . For over an hour we learned the history of Guinness , washed down regularly with every variety at hand . Afterward , we rose to its 360 ° bar high over Dublin where the sights of the city are on view .
Before we left , Niall picked up two pre-ordered pint glasses with the inscription , " Dave and Niall , 2015 Adventure ." And the next morning , adventure over , we returned to Canada .
