Keeping a Simple Idea Notebook
Do you ever have trouble coming up with creative ideas? Ideas are often all around you, you just have to take time to notice them.
Carry a small notebook and pen. Use it to jot down things you notice or ideas that come to you during the day. The notes app on your phone works too.
Write down anything that captures your attention, whether your own ideas or something you see or hear. Even small or“ silly” thoughts are worth keeping.
Later, review your notes. Ask yourself what stood out and why. Notice patterns or repeated themes, and add a few reflections.
When you’ re ready to begin a new project but feel stuck, look through your notebook. Choose one idea that resonates and start there.
