ARTA Member Services Update

Welcome to three new people who have joined the ARTA staff in recent months : Antonietta MacEachern is ARTA ’ s new administrative assistant . She started work on January 4 and has proven to be an extremely valuable member of the member services team . Tracey Anderson is ARTA ’ s new communications officer . She joined the team on February 8 , and works with Chyrisse Dekker , our marketing director . Tracey ' s article about using social media appears in this issue of news & views . Ameara Menah joined the member services team on March 14 . She is quickly picking up the skills required for her job , and you may be talking to her on the phone when you call ARTA .

A note to our education sector members : Membership renewal is in full swing . If you have not renewed your membership and have ARTA health care benefits , please renew as soon as possible . You must be an ARTA member in good standing to participate in the ARTA health care plans , and if your membership is not current , your health care plan could be terminated .

If you are an ARTA member and have decided to forgo the many advantages of remaining an ARTA member , please let us know .

For public and private sector members : Since you pay your ARTA membership automatically each month ( a small portion of your premium is actually ARTA fees ), you do not have to pay ARTA directly for renewal .

If you have moved recently or if you have changed your email address , please contact the ARTA office and let us know . It makes it much easier for us if we have to get in touch with you . Contact information can be found on the table of contents page in this magazine . ARTA office hours are 9:00 to 4:00 weekdays . On holidays , the office is closed . And as the days get longer and warmer : It ’ s good to get out and enjoy summer . They say that we only live once , so we must make it the best life possible . We hope that ARTA membership will be a significant part of that life .
