Icefields , prairie lakes , icebergs , global ocean currents , trout , whale sharks , denizens of the deep . The “ Story of Water ” connects all waters , all life , everywhere . One water , one biosphere .
A new eco-tourism attraction coming to Edmonton will feature a mix of aquatic exhibits , an education centre , and a conservation and research facility . Using immersive , multiplatform storytelling , live exhibits , and science activities , with a lens of human culture , the Aquatic Biosphere Project will connect visitors to the Story of Water . The purpose and mission of the Aquatic Biosphere Project is to expand visitor knowledge , encourage them into personal conservation action , and help them rediscover their wonder of nature .
We couldn ’ t wait to get started , so while the physical building is still in early design development , education and public outreach has already begun . This is your invitation to join .
The Aquatic Biosphere Society of Canada , a registered charity , is recruiting volunteer speakers and educators , including retired professionals , to help deliver presentations and lessons on a variety of topics and science-based activities for students , teachers , and camps . If you have a background in teaching , a desire to help , and a passion for nature and water , then we want to meet you .
