From Our Partners Wendy Sheehan | Manager, Third Party Administration Services, ASEBP Taking Stock of Your Benefi ts As the winter frost melts away and birds start their return to this side of the border, it’s a great reminder that a fresh start is on the way. We embrace this seasonal change by preparing our homes and gardens for the new beginnings that lay ahead; maybe it’s more than just our environments that need a good organizing. Consider using this time of transition to take stock of your ARTA retiree benefi ts. Whether you’ve been enrolled for a couple of years or have been with us for a decade, now is a great time to review your benefi ts to ensure they are still meeting your needs. Remember, you can increase your benefi ts at any time; however, you must be enrolled for at least twenty-four months before you can decrease your Extended Health Care or Dental coverage. Do You Have All the Benefi ts You Need? Extended Health Care The ARTA Retiree Benefi ts Plan off ers four Extended Health Care Plans to choose from: Health Wise, Health Wise Plus, Total Health, and Ultimate Health. The major diff erences between the plans are the coverage maximums for certain benefi ts, and only two of the plans off er travel coverage (Total and Ultimate Health). You can learn more about each plan on the ARTA website, arta.net, by visiting Benefi ts at a Glance, found in the Retiree Benefi ts section of the Member Services area. Dental You have three dental plans to choose from with the ARTA Retiree Benefi ts Plan. Each plan off ers slightly diff erent coverage levels which can be reviewed online at arta.net, by visiting the Benefi ts at a Glance page mentioned above. Is Your Information Up to Date? Keeping your banking, contact, and other important information current is an essential part of ensuring your ARTA retiree benefi ts are running smoothly — after all, ARTA cannot pay your benefi t claims if we don’t have correct banking information. The easiest way to review all of your information is through the ARTA Members Health Care Account. 54 | arta.net To update your banking and contact information, including mailing address, visit the Profi le tab once you have logged into your account. Don’t have an account? No problem! Registering is easy: 1. Visit arta.net and click on the red Members Health Care Account button. This will open the ARTA Members Health Care Account login screen. 2. Click on the orange Register button. 3. Enter your ARTA Benefi ts ID number, date of birth, section code, and postal code (ID number and section code can be found on your ARTA Benefi ts ID card). Click Continue. 4. Read the terms and conditions, and click I Understand. 5. Enter your email address and create a password. Click Create Profi le. 6. You’ll receive a confi rmation email to the email address you specifi ed in your profi le. You must click on the confi rmation link in this email within twenty-four hours to complete your registration.
