Taking Stock of Your Benefi ts
As the winter frost melts away and birds start their return to this side of the border,
it’s a great reminder that a fresh start is on the way. We embrace this seasonal
change by preparing our homes and gardens for the new beginnings that lay
ahead; maybe it’s more than just our environments that need a good organizing.
Consider using this time of transition to take stock
of your ARTA retiree benefi ts. Whether you’ve been
enrolled for a couple of years or have been with us for
a decade, now is a great time to review your benefi ts to
ensure they are still meeting your needs. Remember,
you can increase your benefi ts at any time; however,
you must be enrolled for at least twenty-four months
before you can decrease your Extended Health Care or
Dental coverage.
Do You Have All the Benefi ts You Need?
Extended Health Care
The ARTA Retiree Benefi ts Plan off ers four Extended
Health Care Plans to choose from: Health Wise, Health
Wise Plus, Total Health, and Ultimate Health. The
major diff erences between the plans are the coverage
maximums for certain benefi ts, and only two of the
plans off er travel coverage (Total and Ultimate Health).
You can learn more about each plan on the ARTA
website, arta.net, by visiting Benefi ts at a Glance,
found in the Retiree Benefi ts section of the Member
Services area.
Dental
You have three dental plans to choose from with the
ARTA Retiree Benefi ts Plan. Each plan off ers slightly
diff erent coverage levels which can be reviewed online
at arta.net, by visiting the Benefi ts at a Glance page
mentioned above.
