If you had asked me a year ago what I thought about acupuncture, I would have told you— honestly— I didn’ t believe in it.

I’ m Marty, and I consider myself a practical, evidence-based person. I trusted traditional medicine, and I was skeptical of anything that sounded like an“ alternative.” But life has a way of challenging your assumptions.

In 2024, I went through one of the most difficult years of my life. I suffered a serious, nearly fatal heart attack. Thankfully, I recovered well enough within seven months to undergo a full hip replacement surgery. It was a long road, but by early 2025, I was finally starting to feel like myself again. Then, out of nowhere, something new started.

I noticed a strange loss of feeling in the sole of my foot. At first, I didn’ t think much of it. But then the same sensation appeared in my other foot. And it didn’ t go away. In fact, it got worse.

As of December 2025, I’ ve completed a series of treatments, with more scheduled as part of the plan. Throughout the entire process, I’ ve been consistently impressed, not just with the care itself, but with the people.

But what matters most is this: I’ ve improved significantly! Today, I’ m able to walk comfortably again. I’ m curling, golfing, and cycling more than ever!

I can go up and down stairs without needing a banister. I’ m back at the gym. I can ride a bicycle, do my yard work, handle daily tasks, and live my life the way I did before these symptoms started! I don’ t have pain anymore.

There’ s still a slight tingling in the soles of my feet, but compared to where I was, it’ s a dramatic improvement.

If you had told me a year ago that I’ d be saying this about Accessible Acupuncture, I wouldn’ t have believed you. But here I am.
