A Thoughtful Step for the Road Ahead
Retirement invites reflection— on what comes next and how to make things easier for the people we love. For thousands of Albertans, joining the Cooperative Memorial Society( CMS) has been a meaningful first step in planning ahead. While CMS doesn’ t offer legal or financial services, we do encourage members to create a will, prepare a personal directive, and talk with their families about end-of-life wishes. We also provide access to trusted resources and professionals who can help. For a one-time fee of $ 40 per person, members receive lifetime access to the following:
• Significantly discounted funeral plans with locally owned funeral homes
• Secure storage of funeral preferences, accessible to providers at time of death
• Educational tools to support thoughtful, values-based planning
“ When my father passed, we didn’ t have to guess what he wanted. His CMS membership gave us guidance and peace in the middle of our grief.”
Planning ahead through CMS doesn’ t just save money— it spares families from having to make emotional decisions under pressure.
